Hi I'm Jayde Mueller! I am 19 years old and I am taking the time next year to follow what God has called me to, a life of mission. I having been following Christ most of my life and he has shown, taught, and saved me in so many ways I could never fully thank him. I want to share that love that Christ has shown me to the world. I am taking on this opportunity to go on World Race's Gap Year to be able to help people understand what Christ's love looks like.
I started to feel this call from God last year. I had a plan after I graduated high school, I had already enlisted into the Army National Guard and I wanted to go to basic training and AIT, then go to college, get my degree, then get started on working for the rest of my life, God had different plans. About one month into basic training my appendix ruptured, I was neglected medically and didn't get the treatment I needed, this led to my appendix being ruptured in my body for over a week. Once I was able to get into the hospital I got rushed into surgery and they told me I shouldn't have made it. I am not using this story as a sob story but instead a testimony of how God can really save you from anything. Once I was able to come home my life completely changed, I couldn't stay in the military anymore, I didn't know if I wanted to go to college anymore or if I would have the money, so I waited. I was forced into a season of rest which was uncomfortable for me, but it was a wonderful season of growth. This past year I have taken the time to grow closer to God and sometime to really understand where God is leading me in this season.
Now this year I am on staff at my church Hope Fellowship as the youth intern, helping out with youth group (middle school and high school). This is something I would've never thought of doing before this year, isn't that crazy how God does that? I am so excited to see how God is going to work this year and in preparation for this missions trip.
I am super excited to keep you all updated on my trip and the entire progress!
With love,
Jayde
